Vinòforum reaches its 23rd edition with seven evenings, more than 3,200 labels to taste, over 800 participating companies and a programme that combines wine stands with chef dinners, restaurants, masterclasses, Top Tasting sessions and formats dedicated to pizza, olive oil and other Italian food products.
The interesting part is not only the scale. Vinòforum can be a very good evening or a chaotic one depending on how you approach it. Walking in without understanding the tasting carnet, trying to sample everything and deciding at the last minute whether to add a dinner or special tasting is the easiest way to waste half the experience.

The 2026 edition runs from Monday 7 to Sunday 13 September at Piazza di Siena, inside Villa Borghese. Doors open every evening at 7 p.m. From Sunday to Thursday the event closes at midnight, while on Friday and Saturday it stays open until 1 a.m.
The evening format works especially well in September: you can keep the day for sightseeing and museums, then move the food-and-wine part of the trip after sunset. Piazza di Siena also gives the event a very different atmosphere from an indoor exhibition hall.

How much tickets cost and what the standard entry includes
Daily tickets start from €15 online, with online prices advertised as cheaper than buying at the box office. A three-day pass has also been introduced for 2026, starting from €40 and available in different versions.
The standard ticket includes the official tasting glass and a carnet for 10 wine tastings at the pouring stands, excluding restricted-access areas. This matters because the carnet is not designed for indiscriminate sampling. Ten pours are enough to build a meaningful route if you choose them with some purpose.
Tickets linked to dinners and Top Tasting sessions include the booked experience, the tasting glass and the same 10-tasting carnet. More structured experiences have limited capacity, so they should be treated as real bookings rather than something to decide after arriving.
Ten tastings: how to use them without turning the night into a marathon
Ten pours may sound limited when thousands of labels are available. In practice, they are more than enough for a sensible tasting route. Instead of starting only with famous producers, choose a theme: one region, a denomination, native grapes or a comparison between different styles.
A better approach is to identify four or five producers in advance and keep the rest of the carnet for spontaneous discoveries. This gives the evening direction without making it feel like a technical exam.
Water and food should be part of the rhythm from the beginning, not something saved for the end. Vinòforum is not a two-hour seated tasting: you walk, talk, sample and often stay for several hours. Alternating wine, water and food makes the experience much more enjoyable.
More than wine: The Night Dinner, Top Tasting and special formats
The 2026 programme is designed to be more than a sequence of stands. The Night Dinner features seven chef-led dinners, one for each evening, built around multi-course experiences and wine pairing. This year’s concept, “Human Factor: Past. Present. Future.”, combines cooking, wine and a visual and narrative element.
Top Tasting sessions are the more focused option for visitors who want to explore specific labels, producers and territories through guided tastings. They make more sense if your aim is not simply to taste wine but to understand what is in the glass.
