Stroll through the halls of the Vatican Museums<\/strong>, one of the largest and most important museum complexes in the world, with a collection of approximately 70,000 works of art.<\/p>\n

After a brief introduction in the Cortile della Pigna<\/strong>, the tour continues toward the Palazzo del Belvedere, where, in the early 16th century, the popes displayed the first collection of ancient statues. Masterpieces such as the Laoco\u00f6n and the Belvedere Torso, famous for their realism and the precision of their anatomical details, were admired and studied even by Michelangelo, who was not coincidentally called \u201cthe pupil of the Torso.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tour continues on the second floor through the Candelabra Gallery, the Tapestry Gallery, and the Map Gallery, until reaching the rooms decorated by Raphael and his pupils in the apartment of Pope Julius II della Rovere, known as \u201cthe Terrible.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the end of the tour, visitors enter the Sistine Chapel, the sacred place where popes are elected. Here, Michelangelo\u2019s power and energy, evident in the frescoed ceiling and the Last Judgment, interact with the elegance of the scenes painted on the walls by Perugino, Botticelli, and Ghirlandaio.<\/p>\n
